FAQs:
What do I need to prepare for an audition?
Auditions consist of a warm up and range check, followed by a short (~1 minute) solo of your choosing, then pitch recall and sight singing. Please come prepared to sing a brief excerpt of a song in any style that showcases your strengths as a singer.
What do callbacks look like?
We will send you a short passage of one of our songs to learn on your own for the callback. You will have a chance to practice your part with another singer on the part, and then sing the song you’ve learned with the rest of the group!
When do you rehearse?
Trill Seekers rehearses Wednesdays from 7:30-9:30pm and Sundays from 12:30-3:30pm during our performing season (late August to early December and late January through mid May).
Are there commitments outside of rehearsal?
We take local gigs as they come up, including farmer’s markets, private parties, concerts with other groups, and perform our own concert at the end of each semester. Trill Seekers also takes a full-day or weekend retreat once per semester. You can expect to have non-rehearsal commitments one to two days per month on average.
